I can't say that I have ever seen something quite as useless as CNN has become.... Well there is Joe Lieberman, but he has never claimed to be a news network... at least not that I know of. 

Anyway, I had the sad misfortune of being forced to watch their constant useless babbling about General Mc"Sure Rolling Stone won't repeat what I said"Crystal. As he awaited the inevitable canning that we all knew Obama was going to serve him. So for 20 minutes the "Breaking News" read something to the effect of "McCrystal awaits Judgement Day" or some other such nonsense, while a million or so "experts" talk all about what might come. So then the word comes out that, yes, McCrystal is out, and possibly General Betrayus will be taking over for him. That little snippet of info took another 30 minutes to talk about with their endless group of heads. 

That's as far as I got before I made my escape, all the while reading news blurbs across the bottom of the screen like: Flooding damage estimated at XX,XXX,XXX, 5 killed in Blah Blah, Hawaii exploded today, Palin has been named as the next American Idol and many other things that I think I would have found even slightly more interesting than watching a bunch of morons speculate constantly.

I guess my point is this, we don't need a group of incessantly chattering idiots to tell us what we think about the news. We just need them to tell us what the news actually is.

Edward R. Murrow where have you gone?
